Livingstone hosts its first Cross-Border Conference, 15th September

June 2005

A conference tailored to the needs of any organisation considering embarking upon a cross-border acquisition is to be held at the world-famous Wallace Collection on London on Thursday, September 15.

Being the sole U.K. member of Global M & A, the international partnership of mid-market advisers, has enabled Livingstone to assemble a host of seasoned deal makers from eight countries to provide a unique “master class” on acquiring companies abroad.

The conference will demonstrate to delegates the issues to consider – and what to avoid - as well as outlining the basic tools and understanding necessary to embark upon a successful cross-border deal. Items for discussion will include cultural differences, funding, sourcing of overseas acquisition targets and reasons for overseas acquisitions failing.

Conference Chairman Jeremy Furniss comments: “Experienced acquirers will know that purchasing companies in their own country is difficult enough. Making acquisitions abroad adds a whole new dimension of challenges and risks that require careful management.

“We are bringing together an impressive list of speakers to share their experiences, scars and successes, so we can assure delegates of a relevant and highly informative event.”

This event is being sponsored by Business XL, the award winning magazine for Managing Directors. The magazine is distributed to MDs and CEOs of SMEs with annual revenues of £1 million plus.

Tickets are priced at £175 + VAT, further information is available from Sheryl Weis on 020 7484 4700 or e mail: sheryl.weis@livguarantee.com.
